Let’s face it: With or without a pandemic, not everyone can afford spending over Php 50,000 on one smartphone. Good thing that looking for a phone with good quality while on a budget is already possible here in the Philippines. For those who want big display, big storage, and big battery capacity without spending big, here’s an entry-level phone to consider: The newly released Huawei Y7a, which is being sold for only Php 8,999 SRP.
At first glance, it doesn’t seem like an entry-level phone because of its 6.67” display, 48MP AI quad cameras, and stunning colors. Huawei Y7a’s rear cameras are as good as I expected them to be since Huawei has already proven itself to be a go-to brand for promising mobile phone camera specs. This feature is one of Huawei Y7a’s strongest suits — a 48MP main high-resolution lens, an 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle lens, a 2MP Depth camera and a 2MP Macro camera. By using its AI algorithm to recognize and adapt to a variety of shooting situations, the Y7a’s cameras captures superb images with every tap of the shutter. In front, it has an 8MP selfie camera with beautification mode that captures nice outdoor photos.
Saving those photos and videos won’t be a problem as well with its storage and RAM capacity at 4GB + 128GB, but it’s also available in a 64GB variant. This is still expandable for up to 512GB via microSD as well.
Another noteworthy feature is the Huawei Y7a’s 5,000 mAh battery and 22.5W SuperCharge solution that can help keep phones alive for an entire day. It’s fast charging so you can even watch videos for up to two hours within just 10 minutes of charging.
This smartphone still comes with AppGallery and no built-in Google services just like the brand’s latest releases. However, the app download concern of many can be easily addressed by Petal Search for easy direct download. When all else fails, there’s also APK Pure for extra help. This can be a bit of a deal-breaker for those who do not like tinkering with their phones, but let’s not set aside those who would rather do so to enjoy the other good features.
