Winning big at the Sharp Philippines x ESGS 2019 booth

Launch attack! Gamers, fans, and streamers went full-force at the sixth Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City last weekend (October 25-27), donned in their armors and favorite gadgets. ESGS is probably the largest gathering of gamers in the country every year! Highlights this 2019 include a huge Nintendo Switch booth for Switch fans and a dedicated booth for streamers and gamers to test their gaming prowess.

ESGS caters to gaming fans of all levels with a gaming extravaganza like no other. Just like in the past five years, gamers and enthusiasts were treated to a variety of activities. For a pass worth P230, participants were treated to live tournaments, first look at latest game releases, and first dibs at new products from gaming companies. The crowd even got the chance to meet their favorite influencers, artists, gaming personalities, and even mascots of characters like Pikachu! Brands had their own set of giveaways at the event but the highlight – at least for us – would be the prizes given away at the Sharp Philippines booth, which includes a 45″ Smart TV!

Sharp Philippines Corporation (SPC) once again took part as one of the official exhibitors, along with other well-known global brands. Aside from providing high quality LED TVs at the gaming convention, SPC held a Tekken Tournament during the three-day event. As a prize, winners received Sharp 45” Android Smart TV and Sharp Sound Partner. We were even lucky to bring home a Sharp speaker during the last day.

Albeit being known as a brand for home equipment, SPC is now broadening their horizon to make a name in the local gaming industry. With their latest TV technology, our gaming experience became more enjoyable – thanks to clear colors/ sounds and easy smart functions of every equipment.

Here are the winners during the last day of the tournament:

Ronald Rendon (Assistant Manager- Product Planning & Management of SPC) with Reyland dela Cruz, the grand prize winner of Sharp’s Tekken Tournament.
Ronald Rendon (Assistant Manager- Product Planning & Management of SPC) with Loki Chua, who won second place at the Sharp Tekken Tournament.

We were only able to visit on the last day of the convention but hopefully, we can spend more time with everyone next year! We’re looking forward to see (and play) with you again at the Sharp booth.
