5 Shopping hacks to save MORE at #LazadaTurns7 Sale (without a credit card)

Who doesn’t love buying stuff on SALE? Even cheapskates will do everything that they can to slash prices to the lowest possible amount when given the chance. I’m not a big spender as well so hearing of online sales like the upcoming Lazada 7th Birthday Sale is music to my ears! I’ve been shopping online for years now and I make it a point to follow 5 simple shopping hacks to save more money and more time on any platform.

I recently shared these tips with some of my friends and they found it very helpful. You might learn a thing or two so here you go:

1. ‘Add to Cart’ before March 27

Even before the main sale date (in Lazada’s case, it’s on March 27), check items that you need to buy via the app or via desktop. Make sure that you’re logged in to your account so your list will be saved. This way, you can immediately ‘Check Out’ everything when prices drop further during the main day or the last day of the sale. There are times when the items that you want are suddenly added to Flash Sales on the platform, so it’s best to check back from time to time.

2. Help slash prices

Ever wondered why some of your Facebook friends are sharing links saying “Help me slash the price of…”? That’s because slashing the price of any item – may it be a laptop, watch, or cellphone – can make its price drop to as low as P1.00! The only thing you need to worry about is checking out the item as soon as possible and shouldering shipping fee.

3. Find items you need from one seller to save on shipping fee

There are times when the seller’s shipping fee is more expensive than the product that you’re getting. Avoid spending too much on this by checking sellers who offer most (if not everything) that you need so you can ship things in one go. I recently purchased fitness items from only one seller instead of getting the cheapest item from different shops. That’s a couple of pesos less than my original total!

4. Save more time using PayMaya

When it comes to online sales, beating other people to specific deals are always part of the struggle. It’s heartbreaking to see that the last piece you want is already out of stock! That’s why I already saved my PayMaya details in the Lazada app. It’s a mobile payment account that can be used like a Visa card and you can instantly get one by downloading the app via App Store or Google Play. Because I’m afraid of sharing credit card details online, using PayMaya gives me peace of mind since I can just leave it empty when not in use. Prior online shopping, I just load up in a nearby 7-Eleven store or via BDO.

The best part about it? You can get cashback or free vouchers on every purchase! Just visit paymaya.com/deals. Physical PayMaya cards are also available.

Side note: I also use this in paying bills, buying prepaid load at a cheaper price, sending money, and paying in malls via QR. It sends a real-time SMS notification for every transaction so you can easily track if there’s a suspicious purchase.

5. Input voucher codes strategically!

To save more money, I checked out the items on my cart that do not have the “BDAY” icon first. These are the items that will not be affected by the mega price drop on the 27th. With this, I used a PayMaya voucher that entitled me to an additional 15% OFF discount*! On the 27th, I plan to use another PayMaya voucher for my next purchase so I can get a 20% OFF discount*.

Voucher points from Lazada games and the Voucher Channel can also be used, so plan out your purchases wisely!

*VOUCHER CODES:

Enjoy a 15% OFF discount of up to P200 when you use code PAYMAYAPARTY until March 26, 2019. Minimum purchase of P500, one-time use only.
Score a 20% OFF discount of up to P200 when you use code PAYMAYABLOWOUT on March 27, 2019 only. Minimum purchase of P500, one-time use only.
