Meet Honor 7A and 7S: Budget smartphones for millennials who can’t live without music, photos

The youth are often ridiculed for not having enough means to purchase high-end items and high-quality phones that are set at an expensive price. However, this won’t stop us from looking for alternatives that offer almost the same features below P7,000! Some of the common pain points of owning “budget smartphones” are small screens, limited storage, poor camera quality, and poor sound capability – but the gem we found can address all that!

Coupled with unbeatable tech, the Huawei Honor 7A and 7S contain most of the features that most are looking for in a smartphone – sleek, stylish, innovative, and very affordable.

HONOR 7A: FOR MUSIC AND PHOTOGRAPHS

The screen’s 18:9 aspect ratio is closer to the widescreen format of cinema screens, delivering a much more immersive movie experience. A bigger screen also means the ability to display more content with less scrolling required, enhancing your reading and browsing experience. For gamers, the phone’s design is even more exhilarating, with the screen ratio scaled up to 18:9, you naturally see more!

Photography Modes

This phone comes with a built-in toning light that can make selfies look better. Honor 7A’s beauty mode automatically makes corrections on the face, ensuring that selfies are ready for posting (“no filter”). You can also adjust the brightness of the light to enhance the photo effect. Other shooting modes include:

  • Wide aperture mode: Supports aperture adjustment from level 1 to 7, giving you different degrees of boken effects.
  • Beauty mode: Supports previewing of beautification effects; beautifies your skin with 10 levels of adjustments, capturing your best side each and every time.
  • Capture smiles: Automatically takes a photo when a smile is detected.
  • Ultra snapshot: Launches the camera and snaps a picture when you double-press the volume down button when the screen is off and locked.
  • Food mode: Increases the contrast and saturation, and automatically post-processeses the image, to create richer colors and finer textures for food.
  • Watermark: Gives an additional touch of uniqueness to every moment with the following watermark types: time, location, weather, mood, food, and sport.
  • AR lens and Backgrounds: Intelligently identifies and separates the subject from its background, and replaces the background according to your selection; supports still and dynamic backgrounds or choosing a Gallery image as the background. (2) Effects: Supports fun effects that appear around your face.

One of the notable features of the 7A is its “party mode” that turns your phone into a professional music studio — supporting simultaneous music playback on up to 9 devices, giving you a wonderful surround sound experience. Real-time headset monitoring would also be handy for budding singer-songwriters. The Honor 7A can be your loyal practice companion, letting you hear your own voice through the headset and helping you improve.

For an affordable price, the phone also includes all other features found in a premium-priced smartphone: facial recognition technology, a three-card holder and supports dual Bluetooth connection. So you’ll never again have to make the hard decision between ditching one SIM or microSD card, or connecting to your smart watch or Bluetooth headset.
