Thoughts on the new OPPO F7 ft. Joshua Garcia, Julia Barretto, Janella Salvador

The Selfie Expert took their phone’s capabilities up a notch again, just six months after they released the OPPO F5. Chinese phone manufacturer OPPO sure knows how to keep up with the latest global tech innovations! We’ve seen the awesome upgrades with our own eyes during the grand launch last Thursday (April 19, 2018) at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City and we were lucky enough to be joined by OPPO F7 endorsers Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, collectively known as JoshLia, and Janella Salvador.

SPECIAL FEATURES

The newest addition to the line boasts of a 25MP front camera that is backed with AI Beauty Technology 2.0 that can provide clearer selfies. The phone’s camera is also packed with Sony IMX576 Sensor HDR that can help with photo enhancements and light adjustments for pro-like outputs, and it also has fun sticker and filter features that you can play around with even without third party apps. It’s not all about selfies and photos, though. OPPO F7 also runs on 3400mAh with AI Battery Management that can last for 8.3 hours of gaming.

OPPO F7’s look is sleeker than its predecessor. OPPO F7 comes in three colors – Diamond Black, Solar Red, and Moonlight Silver. Unlike previous models with a matte finish, F7 appears to be shinier, with its Diamond Black model having a classy diamond-like design. It has a 6.23” FHD+ Super Full Screen display, 12nm Octa-Core processor, and 2 dedicated AI cores.

In terms of security, F7 includes better safe unlock features like a 0.08-second facial unlock, fast fingerprint, and password protection.

All these for only P17,990 for the 64GB model and P21,900 for the 128FB model.

“[OPPO F7’s] camera is really revolutionary because I was exploring it and it has one of the best cameras. First of all, I really love how it looks. It’s now shiny. Usually they use matte, but now it’s shiny. It’s so pretty and usually, people like using Snapchat, stickers. They like using filters. Right now, OPPO F7 has built-in stickers in its camera,” answered Janella.

“I’m so excited for this new feature kasi ito ‘yung nagiging root talaga ng petty fights namin ni Josh. ‘Pag nag-games na ‘yan sa phone, parang ‘pag may tanong ako, sasagot lang siya mga after two hours kasi nga nag-gagames siya sa phone,” shares Julia. “Super gamer lang siya talaga. So I’m so excited because OPPO F7, they have this new feature [that] while you’re doing anything on your phone and even when using games, you can text at the same time. One more feature I like [is the] Kidspace [feature]. I like that one because I have a baby sister and a younger brother, and every time they want to use my phone for something, at least I can keep safe the things that ayaw kong makita nila.”

Gusto ko dyan yung vivid mode kasi mas nabubuhay yung picture mo, and yung screen recording. Bago ‘yun! Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng screen recording. Halimbawa, nagpapaturo yung lola ko sa social media, pwede kong irecord tapos kahit nag-iinstruct o may sinasabi ako, maririnig din niya,” shares Joshua.
