Gone are the days when designer pieces were only made accessible to chosen markets. Today, anything you want – including the latest fashion trends, can already be delivered at your doorstep with just a few clicks and swipes. Taking their cue from the “See Now, Buy Now” trend seen in Paris and New York Fashion Weeks, ZALORA Philippines brought fashion to a broader audience last Thursday (November 9, 2017) as they launched their ‘New Essentials’ collection during the highly-anticipated Fashion Night Out 2017 at the Glorietta Activity Center-turned-runway.

‘New Essentials’ – recreating the essentials in one’s wardrobe – was envisioned in the collection of four of Fashion Exchange International’s designers for this first season: Dennis Lustico, Ivar Aseron, John Herrera, and Rhett Eala. With each designer given free reign to develop their collection, the interesting aspect of this is how each seasoned designer sees what they think is a “new basic essential”.

Check out some of our favorites below:

Dennis Lustico: Soft Blushes + Black & White

Ivar Aseron: Knots and Ribbons + Pastels

John Herrera: Eagle Prints

Rhett Eala: Ultra-Feminine Basics

Note: Visit ZALORA PH’s website to view the complete collection and see each piece up-close.

This first season of this first all-Filipino designer collaboration for ZALORA is only the beginning. In the coming seasons, consumers can watch out for resort and streetwear collaborations as well as Filipino accessories.

ZALORA also showcased their in-house label’s holiday collection that proves the company offers a wide array of versatile, exciting, and wearable clothing pieces perfect for the season.

ZALORA: Your Style, Your Statement

“We at ZALORA are committed to growing E-commerce in the Philippines through creative ways by co-creating a one-of-a-kind collection with the country’s most respected fashion designers. This collaboration for the New Essentials line not only supports Filipino talent, it also provides our customers with designer items at affordable prices that can only be found at ZALORA. Through this initiative, we hope to widen our customer reach, educate them on the benefits of online shopping and dress them in the latest fashion trends, in the quickest and most convenient way possible,” said Paulo Campos, ZALORA Philippines co-founder and CEO.

To reinforce the idea that style is bigger than fashion, ZALORA launched 100 unique local ZALORA Style Stars, including Jake Ejercito, Aryanna Epperson, Karla Aguas, and Victor Basa, chosen to boldly represent diversity in fashion. Some of these Style Stars were seen walking the runway at Fashion Night Out 2017 for the ZALORA label’s very own holiday collection.

After successfully launching Maxene Magalona at the first Style Star earlier this year, ZALORA added 100 new faces to their Style Star roster at Fashion Night Out 2017. The diverse selection of Style Stars is intended to inspire Filipinos to choose to be fearless in their self-expression and empower individuals from all walks of life to take on the world with style and confidence.

“With this year’s Fashion Night Out and the launch of our 100 Style Stars, one of ZALORA’s goals is to remove the stigma that fashion is limited to a select few. With our extensive portfolio of brands – both local and international, we want our customers to know that they can find their style of choice at ZALORA,” says Campos.

To kickstart the holiday season, ZALORA Philippines is back with two of their biggest online shopping events – 11.11 Single’s Day where customers can enjoy great deals on exclusive brands, and 12.12 Online Fever, dubbed as ZALORA’s biggest sale of the year. Mark your calendars as early as now and make sure you won’t miss the early Christmas treat this December!
